This was the beginning of it all... back in 2009. I created this song using a CHEAP loop-based computer program I used with my music students. It was so ridiculously popular with my students that I took the backing track home to my studio, laid down vocals, and boom goes the dynamite - the CRCT rap was born.
Criterion-Referenced Competency Test, for you non-locals :) It's our big end-of-the-year test that our school system uses to assess progress. It's a HUGE stressful event for many of our students and I thought an upbeat, happy song would help motivate them and take the edge off. Hope you enjoy it!
