"Sentences" had another life - originally a country-style track, this one just didn't fit by the time the rest of the album took shape... So back to the mixing board we went :)
Turned out to be one of my favorites. Declarative, Interrogative, Imperative, Exclamatory sentence facts... all hidden in a story about a boy who crushes on a girl at school...

Yeah. I know - brilliant. All the facts are in there, but it's also a FUN, upbeat song about puppy love ;)

Let me tell you ‘bout the girl that I met last week
I declare it made my confidence turn into meek
I’ll give you all the info, and I’ll even put it in a song

I’ll tell you all about it – it’s declarative
& I’ll ask you all about it, interrogative
Let me tell you what to do – it’s imperative
& that’s a command
I’ll shout it from the rooftops - exclamatory
& once you know the deets you’ll have the story
I hope my tale is anything but boring
Yeah…
I asked her what her name was but she didn’t say
I said I want to talk, but not interrogate
I asked her for her info, but she said that she was running late

She sounded real imperative so I didn’t stall
Her wish was my command, I couldn’t argue at all
I exclaimed “YES! She talked to me!”
